a need to post a food blog

Haven't done food blogging for a while, either my restaurant selection has been pretty off or I just didn't have the money and the power to stroll around the city and find new places to dine.

But anywhoooo .. I need to do this again, since, I can see myself being an EDNOS again, and my way to satisfy my cravings is to blog and take pics of my fav. food!

yeah yeah I know it's a peculiar way to do it, since most of EDNOS members go even further away from their favorite food, but you know what ... I decided to take one step ahead and face my fears and starvation ;] hoho!

so, here it goes ..

Thanksgiving day Aisha and I decided to change our regular turkey meal habit and went with Thai food instead. Since, one live in the great Asian hood, one can easily find the best place to get that perfect hot lemony grass thai spices kick by walking just a few blocks away from one's apartment. And hell yeah nosotros decided to go to
“Chao Thai” - say it with dignity guys! say it with the power to fight those spices you about to gulp down - [ohhmmmm, my tummy is rumbling now!]

Chao Thai may be one of the best Thai food spot in Queens, NY or in the whole freakin' NYC boroughs - no I'm being too dramatic on this - but seriously, it's one of my top 5 Thai restaurants in the NYC district.

So after we arrived, we sat down for about 2 minutes and a few seconds to decide what we want! And both our minds decided to order the famous drunken noodle, jungle curry and mussel pancake!

But hold up! Aisha wants to try something different, she wants the jungle curry with one bowl of rice noodles. Yeah baby! rice noodles indeed ... Waitress gave her an iffy look, but afterward she smiled like it was a perfect idea.

Few minutes of twittering and facebook-ing ...

we said hello to " Mussel Pancake "

I thought it was too greasy that at the end you filled your tummy with way too much oil. But those fried batter are pretty well spiced, the mussel tasted fresh and bits scallion pieces ushered the mussel pretty well. Oh, and they serve it with sweet and spicy sauce which gives it a fresh after taste.

ode to " El Señor Jungle Curry"

Señor Jungle Curry was pretty mesmerizing, the hotness that Aisha and I were looking for was definitely there. However, I didn't really know how the meat tasted like because I'm sort of a pescatarian and I only drank the soup and ate the veggies. LOL! But overall, that's one bitchin' curry. You know, there would come a time when some people prefer the clear soup curry rather than the creamy curries Thai restaurant usually offered, well ... the bright sky and perfect weather at that moment was the perfect time for us to devour it ... and thank God it came out perfectly.

last but not least ... my favorite dish in the whole wide Thai world

we bowed to " Pad See Ew aka De Drunken Noodle"

Never and I mean NEVER in my days of ordering this plate of goodness where it came out to be too greasy or too dry, too spicy or too bland, too much veggies less noodles, too much noodles less veggies, and other whatever pro's and con's one can imagine.
So in two simple words, their version of drunken noodle is:

Always Perfecto

You know that fuming thing that sizzles every time a fresh hot plate of noodles is served in front of you? Where the fragrant just melts you away into a La La Land and encourage all your senses
to join forces and gives you that enough energy to nom down all that carby thing 'til you realize your tummy could not hold those carby goodness down and you stop and you smile and you say "whoaaa... that's one f-ing marvelous noodle dish"?? You know what I'm rambling about rite?

Well guys, that's what my brain was thinking the whole 5 seconds I stare at that white plate filled with glossy colorful ingredients. I can just imagine what I could do to this food porn star .. hmmm ..
Flabbergasting! That's the perfect word for it! And oh if you only heard how my tummy was screaming for more more and more ...! Oh God how am I gonna lose 5 pounds with this mean appetite?

Seriously, I could post several different angles of this food porn but I'll just give you one on each meal, which give you guys just enough info and curiosity that you decided to go there and try it yourself ...

So there you go.. I'm gonna post some more food blog later on, but for now please leave your MAC or PC for 30 minutes and go to this address:
